This will be old news to any of you that are subscribers to my YouTube or follow me on Facebook or Twitter… but I MADE A MOVIE! Yep. A FULL LENGTH feature film!
The film follows Nolan and I as we try to find the elusive and mysterious Black Eyed Kids. Don’t know what a BEK is? Google it! And be prepared to be freaked out!
So, here’s the release info so you can know how you can SEE this film:
When I started posting my videos on YouTube almost two years ago I never thought anyone would watch. I just wanted to prove to my mom that something was happening in our house. And something WAS happening, and I did convince her and people DID watch!
But the other thing I never expected were the letters. So many letters. Emails, Facebook messages, Tweets, YouTube comments, faxes… Okay, not really faxes but you know what I mean! Fans of all ages and from all parts of the world write to me. They give me advice, they tell me about their life, they rant, they praise, they ask me for advice…
So, in the interest of sharing a bit, here is a small sampling of some recent fan mail *:
“sunshine i love you so much! wish you never turned the camera off. not even when you went to the bathroom. i would watch you take a dump for sure.”
“…and now I can’t sleep without the Dora nightlight on and my husband is getting very upset. Should I just not watch your videos at night?”
“You make me want to be a better person, more positive and cuter and happier. Thank you for that bit of blahness!”
“everytime u post a video i scream & my aunt and uncle i live w/ get mad & they are saying i cant watch no more so i buy them ear plugs”
“I wish I was as close to my mom as you are to yours! The way you guys talk and laugh and never let anything come between you- you guys are awesome!”
This last one is my favorite kind of comment to get! And it is waaaayyyyy better than the guy that wants a 24/7 Sunshine Cam! I do get along great with my mom. We often call ourselves The Original Gilmore Girls! (My channel is often referred to as Paranormal Activity meets Gilmore Girls and I LOVE that!) My mom is my BFF and my role-model. I know she always has my back and that she trusts me. Many kids (and even some adults!), seeing this mom/daughter bond ask me how they can develop a better relationship with their mom. This can be tough to answer because every situation is different. But, in general, I say to just try. To be open and honest and always communicate. Start by admitting you want a better relationship. Tell your mom WHY you want this. Don’t shy away from the tough stuff. Remember that your mom loves and you and will always have a mama-bear attitude towards you, know matter how old you get. And us teenagers need to chill out and not be so dang moody! Moms, you need to let us kids grow up. We may always be your little angels but we do have to be allowed to make mistakes, fall down and know you will be there to help us pull up our big girl panties and recover. Talk to each other. Try different techniques. Maybe it is easier to talk while you are driving in the car. Or doing yard work (yuck!). Or over breakfast. Be creative. And keep talking.
I am grateful for my mom and the relationship we have. And I wish it for all of you too!Maybe your relationship will be a bit more Married with Children than Gilmore Girl’s but you got to start somewhere!

]]>I was bald until I was about 3 and when it finally came in, it was blond with little cute curls at the end. As I got older, it got darker and lost the curls. Until I was about 13… when the curls came back with vengeance! Now my hair has a mind of it’s own!
The best thing I have ever done to help tame the wild beast is HENNA !! Henna is an all-natural plant-based way to color your hair. PLUS, it totally makes your locks stronger, thicker and healthier!
Now, there are tons of products on the market but I did some heavy research (it is my HAIR, after all!) and found the best reviews were for the Light Mountain brand. I found it cheap at Whole Foods and decided to try BRIGHT RED. There is a handy chart on the back of the packages (or on their website) that helps you figure out what you will end up with. My mum seems to LOVE being a ginger so I figured why not? Plus, henna is temporary so if I hated it I wasn’t stuck forever. And who likes to be stuck? Not me!
Henna is super easy to use (although kind of messy as you can see from this delightful photo) FAST! The whole process only takes a couple hours so I can watch an episode or two of Pretty Little Lairs and viola- change my hair color!
My little piece of advice is to have a friend (or your mom if she rocks like mine!) help and follow the directions exactly! And take before and after photos (and even a “during” if you are brave like me!) to show ME!

I have watched your YouTube channel for a few months now. It’s cute. You’re cute. Your mom is cute. You guys have got it going on. But I think it’s a mistake if you decide to try and become a ghost hunter. Here’s 3 reasons why…
Clearly not married ghost hunter
Reason #1. Being a ghost hunter takes special skills that not many people have. First and foremost, you have to be an idiot. And not just any kind of an idiot, a very special form of idiot. You have to be totally adverse to the opposite sex. Have you ever met a married ghost hunter? Nope. In fact, have you ever met a ghost hunter after dark in a place where single people traditionally hang out to meet other single people? Nope. You know why? Because they’re usually spending their nights wandering through dark buildings, chasing figments of their imagination… or cooking microwave pizzas and debating the validity of their latest EVP meter purchase on an internet forum filled other people desperately trying to justify their own diversion to the opposite sex by claiming that ghosts are more important than moving out of their mom’s house and and seeing a girl naked in real life. Not that this applies to you. But you certainly don’t want to head down this road now do you?

Reason #2. Being a ghost hunter is basically the equivalent of calling yourself a chef when all you cook is imaginary food. Think about it.
Reason #3. I’m not saying ghosts do exist but if they did, or do, that means they were humans once. In fact, what they are now is basically a human’s soul right? So let me get this straight, the very thing that separates us humans from most other creatures on this planet, the fact that we have a soul, is now the reason we’re being hunted in the middle of the night? And being hunted by lonely twits with no personality and an odd affinity for microwave piazza no less. So much for dignity in death.
There you have it. Three good reasons why you shouldn’t be a ghost hunter. I rest my case. Keep being awesome Sunny! – Ken
P.S. Reason #4. Ghost hunters on average have an I.Q. of 87…. well below average. It’s been proven by science.
]]>10 tablespoons unsalted, soft butter
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 cup sweet white sorghum flour
1 cup white rice flour
1 cup tapioca flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder (or ½ teaspoon cream of tartar, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon cornstarch)
½ teaspoon baking soda (if combining above, add another ½ teaspoon to mix)
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups plain yogurt
1 cup blueberries (frozen are fine)
2 tablespoons raw sugar
Preheat the oven to 375.
Combine all the dry ingredients together. Set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar together, until just creamed. If you leave the stand mixer running as they are creaming, these muffins will not rise. Simply cream them until combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg.
Add one half of the dry ingredients, mixing well. Add one-third of the yogurt and combine until well mixed. Add one-half of the remaining dry ingredients to the mixture, and combine. Continue this, alternating the yogurt and dry ingredients, until you have mixed both of them in, completely.
Add as many blueberries as you can.
Oil a muffin tin well, then sprinkle a little cornstarch or white rice flour on the bottom of each cup. Fill each space for muffin two-thirds full. Sprinkle the raw sugar over the top and set them in the oven.
(This recipe will give you enough batter to make two tins of muffins, or close.)
Bake the muffins for about 35 minutes, or until the tops have browned and started to harden, and the entire house smells of warm blueberry muffins.
